I was recently back in Boston to visit friends and I got to spend a beautiful Saturday with one of my favorite families… the Gonets. We drove up to the North Shore to enjoy lunch in Rockport, MA. We got lobster rolls and fried clams and sat down on the docks and enjoyed the sunshine while Micah, their son, threw rocks in the water. And then later that evening we took the T (or the subway) into downtown Boston, walked around the Boston Common and just enjoyed a beautiful summer night. Micah LOVES trains and so for the whole week prior he was really looking forward to the adventure. I brought my camera and documented it all, of course. We drove the car to the park-n-ride at Alewife and took the T from there – but as we were waiting for the train to come I was surprised (and I couldn’t stop laughing…sorry!) when Micah got really scared and started crying. I think he was just overcome with excitement and anticipation and didn’t really know what to do with it. Anyway, I had my camera rolling so I caught it all on video and I vow to play it at his 16th birthday party. I made this cute video for the Gonets documenting the trip into Boston on the train. Check it out 🙂 And the rest of the photos from Rockport are below too.

Below: Roy Moore’s Fish Shack is definitely a favorite of mine! They’ve got wicked fresh lobstahs at good prices and it’s a fun experience to eat in the back on lobster pots… it’s also ‘BYOB’ – so you can show up with your cooler of beer or wine or soda if you want too! The fresh, steamed lobsters are awesome and so are the lobster rolls! If the place is packed or if the weather is bad… there is also the Roy Moore Fish Shack Restaurant down the road that is slightly more expensive but it’s table dining and a more extensive menu – and it’s also right on the water.
